I took the handknit pattern from Knitty, and constructed appropriate
machine knit instructions for the gauge I got with this yarn. I
made the front and back on my Brother KH930 machine, hand-manipulating
the stitches to make the leaf-lace pattern in the front (and the
eyelets). I finished it up with some crochet picot edging on the
neck and armholes. It took just under 2 skeins of yarn --
something less than 800 yards!
I'm calling this the "watercolour" top, because the way the colours in
the Spirit Trail yarn ebb & flow really reminds me of working with
watercolours.
