KM Waterclour Tank Top (2008)

Watercolour Tank Pattern:  Isabella
by Jordana Paige, http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTisabella.html

Yarn:
Spirit Trail Fiberwroks (50% Silk, 50% Wool)
Method:  Machine knit
Completed:  April 25, 2008.

I took the handknit pattern from Knitty, and constructed appropriate machine knit instructions for the gauge I got with this yarn.  I made the front and back on my Brother KH930 machine, hand-manipulating the stitches to make the leaf-lace pattern in the front (and the eyelets).  I finished it up with some crochet picot edging on the neck and armholes.  It took just under 2 skeins of yarn — something less than 800 yards!

I’m calling this the “watercolour” top, because the way the colours in the Spirit Trail yarn ebb & flow really reminds me of working with watercolours.
