Adversity Socks (2011)
February 24, 2011 - No Comments
Pattern: Usual sock hybrid Yarn: Tess Super socks & baby, (approx 300 yds) Method: Hand knitting Completed: February 24 2011. |
These are my standard socks — toe up, following Wendy’s Toe-Up pattern, and Cat Bordhi’s Riverbed Arch expansion/plain heel. I used Barbara Walker’s “Gothic Lattic” pattern. I have used this pattern before. I’ve used Tess yarn before, too. I love it — good colours, nice stitch definition, and it wears well.
I called them my “Adversity Socks”, in part because I had to start them about 3 times because of various things not working out: even if you’ve knit more than a dozen pairs of socks, you do have to be able to concentrate in order to get them done.
